      use universal master code to get your password....you can download the master code software and type in your IME... after that, you will use your flash code as password.

    the firmware updater searched the modem successfully asked for the password and i entered the Flash code and it proceeds but

    "The wireless terminal inserted is not Firmware, update wizard can't work on"

    I have continuously tried to unlock my huawei e1731 which comes with airtel but after I run the firmware update it shows

      download universal master code then calculate the code with ur huawei e1731 with airtel sim.
      Now update the dashboard of ur airtel huawei e1731 to Mobile partner.
      Now use othr sim with airtel huawei e1731 run mobile partner. As u run mobile partner a new window of unlocking code will open
      enter the code n njoy with any sim

    i also face the same issue, when i want to update my firmware it shows some unexpected error. using new software for firmware updation it shows "The wireless terminal inserted is not Firmware, update wizard can't work on"....

    to unlock E1731 airtel 3g modem we have to install firmware and master code or without install we can unlock,if i was downloaded firmware and master code it doesn't come that box where they put flash and unlock key

    i have e173bu-1 and when i try to install firmware update it find device and start downloading update and then a error comes and it stops...
    im trying it from last 3 days ....dc unlocker n all but now it is not installing even automatic driver in windows ....
    i totally fucked up and i've tried all of formulas

    same as Arvind yadav ... after Mobile Partner install the device wasn't recognized... reboot ..etc.. after plugin the device is like "no present"..advices please..

    Thanks for your information. Now a days lot of methods available to unlock huawei modem. But i have chosen unlock code method. I got unlock code from this site Prounlocking.com then unlocked my huawei modem easily . I got free modem unlocking instructions from this site Mobileunlockguide.com then unlocked my modem easily.
